Continuation updates!

Hello 8th grade Families, please take some time to read through the below end of year updates.

As a reminder students CANNOT participate in the field trips/activities AND the Continuation Ceremony if they are not ON TRACK/eligible. If you are unsure of your students current eligibility status please call 720-423-9600 or email us at bvoffice@dpsk12.org.

TONIGHT is the John F. Kennedy HS Welcome Freshman Night. Swing by anytime from 5:30-7:00 to meet the staff, build your schedule for next year and learn about all the different sports and clubs you can participate in!

FAMILY ACTION REQUIRED:

  • If you have not yet completed the required Google Consent form, please do so ASAP, please note there are 6 sections as this form covers ALL the excursion info/permissions needed.

  • If your child does not have a Elitch Season Pass, please send $25 cash/check (made payable to BVIS) ASAP to buy their discounted day pass. We can also take credit cards in-person or over the phone.
  • We are still looking for donations to help support all the costs involved in celebrating these deserving scholars.  If you haven’t already and are in a capacity to support, please click HERE for our GoFundMe!

Saturday Schools

We are offering two final Saturday School dates to 1- provide students 5 additional attendance points and 2- provide time to make up work to bring up any current Ds or Fs. Students must reliquish their phones upon arrival.

Saturday May 18th 8am – 11am
Saturday May 25th 8am – 11am

Bus picks up @ Elitchs at 5:30pm – expect to be back to BVIS around 6:00pm

5/27		NO SCHOOL – Memorial Day Holiday
Tuesday
5/28		Skate City
Bus leaves BVIS @ 9:30
Bus returns to BVIS @ 12:00pm**
**If you want to pick up your child early that day, please call Main Office
Wednesday 5/29Field Day Fun @ BVIS
9am – walk to JFK to practice ceremony
11am – 3:50pm**
– Taco lunch (provided by BVIS) – students can bring money to buy more
– Field Day fun including a inflatable obstacle course
– Tie Dying shirts

Wednesday 5/29Continuation Ceremony @ JFK High School (2855 S. Lamar)
Doors open at 5:15pm – official ceremony starts at 6:00 SHARP!
-Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation provided
-All students receive 10 total tickets
-Email Mama Yeti if you need more tickets, or if you don’t need 10 to donate
-Please no helium balloons as they are a fire hazard
-Cupcakes in the front courtyard area after ceremony
