Yeti or not the school year is here

Yo Yetis

We hope your summer has been #yetitastic! We cannot wait to see you return to the schoolhouse!

Please read through the below sections to prepare for a YETI successful 26-27 school year! Mama Yeti is back in the office so please call her at 720-423-9663 or email bvoffice@dpsk12.org with ANY further questions.

IMPORTANT: We are still on a waiting list for ALL grades so if your child will not be attending BV please call Mama Yeti with the name of your child's new school so we can offer space to a family who is patiently waiting!

DPS Online Registration opens on Monday 7/27!

This is a required step to finalize your child's seat and schedule! Please note this is a separate and additional step to the Choice application.

Click HERE for step by step directions on how to complete. Email bvoffice@dpsk12.org if you are unsure if you already completed this step in May during the early bird window.

If you are unable to complete this online, please stop by the main office anytime between 8am-3pm Monday 8/10 through Friday 8/14 so we can help you finalize this required task. Please note that a schedule cannot be built until we receive this completed registration.

BVMS Unique 26-27 Calendar

Please find our  unique school calendar linked  HERE.

Please note: our calendar is fairly similar to the DPS version but there are 3 BVMS only planning days (11/30, 3/12 and 4/6) where our students will have no school.

Please reference this calendar when scheduling all appointments and vacations on NO SCHOOL days to ensure students are meeting our attendance goal of 93% or better!

  • First day of school

     for 6th grade = Monday 8/24/26

  • First day of school for 7th & 8th grade = Tuesday 8/25/26

Bell Schedule

Adult supervision starts at 8:30am at all our unique grade level entrance doors. Doors open at 8:45am to allow students time to visit lockers and be in their seats by 8:50am. Please start thinking about your morning routine to ensure students are dropped off no later than 8:40am.

Students who come in late (anytime after 8:50am) with a bought breakfast (Starbucks or McDonalds etc) will need to finish in the front office and will have to make up that lost instructional time during lunch.

Dismissal bell rings at 3:50pm, students must be off campus by 4:15pm.

BVMS School Supply List

To ensure your student has everything they need, please review our  supply list linked HERE .

This list, in comparison to neighboring schools, is minimal to ensure you aren't overspending on supplies that your child will not use.

If your family is in a position to donate extra supplies, please contact Mama Yeti. If your family is experiencing financial hardships, please contact Mama Yeti to help secure these supplies.

BVMS Dress Code

Our new dress code helps create a focused learning environment while allowing students to express themselves. Please review the complete policy as we have made some big changes from our previous policy linked HERE .

If you have questions about the dress code, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are very excited and hopefully that students will be able to handle this added freedom.
