8th Grade Families, please read through the below updates thoroughly to ensure you are well informed!

April Progress Reports

This week ALL 8th graders worked with their Learning Community Mentors to fill out their April Progress report that updated their Continuation eligibility status. Remember this eligibility applies to not only the field trips but also being able to participate in the Ceremony at JFK HS on May 29th.

Saturday School

As a reminder we offer Saturday school from 8am-11am to:

• Allow students time to catch up on missing assignments
• Give back to our community with various organization/clerical projects in the building
• Students who attend for the full 3 hours receive 5 additional attendance points

Summer Opportunities

Ready for 202X is a program that helps give incoming freshmen the skills they need to be successful
though high school and beyond. This free five-week program will run Wednesday, June 12 to Wednesday, July 17 from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is no school on June 19, July 4 or July 5.
