September Calendar Updates!

See below for 4 important calendar dates that were not included in the September Newsletter.
Please be sure to mark you calendars.

1st – Sabin IB FESTIVAL Fri 9/13!

We hope you can join us this Friday the 13th at the Sabin IB Festival from 5-7pm. Click HERE to read the flyer for all the details!

Be sure to stop by from 6:00-6:15pm as Mama Yeti will be in the DUNK TANK #yetiready for you to take her down and make a splash!

2nd – Collaborative School Committee (CSC) Meeting – Thur 9/19!

WE NEED YOUR VOICE! Please join us on Thursday September 19th at 5:00 pm for our 1st CSC meeting of the school year. Light snacks and both Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation will be provided. If you would like to request a different language for interpretation, please email bvoffice@dpsk12.net

The CSC is a vital part of our school community, responsible for advising on key decisions, allocating resources, and fostering collaboration among parents, teachers, and administrators. Serving on the CSC provides you with a platform to actively contribute to the educational experience at Bear Valley!

3rd – Fall Family Conference – OPEN HOUSE on Thur 9/26!

Back by popular demand we will be offering our 1st family conference on Thursday September 26th from 430-730pm. We strongly encourage all families to attend these sessions to foster relationships with our staff and to gain valuable insights into your student’s progress.

  • Upon check-in, families will be provided with a packet containing a progress report, last year’s CMAS results, Lifetouch photos, and various additional resources to foster engagement with your child’s educational journey.
  • All Teachers and Staff will be available for 5-minute touch base sessions to ensure that all families have access to every teacher.
  • The final check-in is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., ensuring a prompt conclusion by 7:55 p.m. to accommodate everyone’s timely return home.

4th – Be on the look out for our 1st Progress Reports

During Learning Community time, both Monday and Tuesday, students and their Learning Community Mentor (Advisement teacher) filled out our 1st progress reports of the year. These sheets are a great way to get a pulse on how your child is doing academically, if they are on track for behavior as well as an update on their attendance, including a count of all their tardies.

If your child does not bring that piece of paper home by THIS Wednesday 9/11 please email bvoffice@dpsk12.net so that we can put you in touch with their teacher who can email you a copy of this progress report.

All students who bring a SIGNED report back to their LC Mentor by Thursday will receive FREE DRESS on Friday 9/13.
