Bear Valley Families,
There are two social media posts being circulated causing concern. One of the posts lists schools in DPS (not Bear Valley) and suggests something unsafe may occur. The district is aware and Denver Police Department will be sent to those schools this morning / all day.
The second post is a circulating rumor at Bear Valley. We know the primary source of this rumor, have looked into this, and believe it is unfounded. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and DPS safety has been notified.
We are working diligently to ensure that your students are safe at BVIS. In an abundance of caution, DPS Department of Safety will be adding extra patrol stops to all schools today.
