Dear BVIS Parents/Guardians,
The following email contains important information regarding the upcoming 6th grade field trip to the Denver Zoo on Friday, March 18th, 2022.
We would love additional supervision so if you would like to join as a chaperone, please reply directly to this email or contact the Bear Valley main office: (720) 423-9600.
To be eligible to attend, students cannot have more than two tardies to class and no repeated behavior referrals. Expectations were rolled out in SEL last Friday (March 4th, 2022) and have been communicated daily with students. Since we rolled these expectations out to students on the 4th, we have been monitoring and tracking their progress.
Students with repeated behavior referrals will be asked to have a parent or guardian accompany them to ensure safety and accountability. If a parent or guardian is unable to provide supervision, students who do not meet the expectations will participate in an amended, full-day of education at the school instead of attending the field trip.
To access specific information regarding attendance and grades please visit: https://myportal.dpsk12.org/. Please reach out to the school to schedule an in-person conference for further discussion, questions, or concerns.
We will be reaching out to families of students who are ineligible next Wednesday (March 16th, 2022).
Thank you for your support. We are looking forward to a day of fun and experiential learning.
Sincerely,
BVIS 6th Grade Teachers and Staff
