Chromebook Audit

Posted February 22, 2022

Starting this week Mr. Chris, our School Technology Representative, will be conducting a Chromebook audit to ensure all scholars have their assigned Chromebook in-hand and is without any damage.  He will start with 6th grade on Wednesday and continue to move through 7th and 8th grade in the following weeks.

We need your help ensuring that your scholar is taking good care of their Chromebook each and every day as this is their assigned DPS device throughout high school. Proper care includes charging it each night and alerting their 1st period teacher if they are without or if any damage occurs.

Please encourage your child to share with their 1st period teacher if they need a loaner for any reason.  This will allow us to issue them a daily loaner so they can be successful throughout the day.  If your child receives a loaner please expect an auto dialer that night to ensure you are aware they are without their issued device.  This loaner list will also allow Mr. Chris to directly follow up with the scholar to determine next steps.

Per the signed MyTech agreement via your DPS registration:

  • If your child’s CB is damaged there will be a $25 invoice applied to their MySchoolBucks account to cover the cost of those repairs.
  • If your child’s CB is missing we will be contacting you directly with more details for next steps and possible replacement costs.

Please email the main office if you have any questions or concerns, bvoffice@dpsk12.org
