The below outlines all the details of our final week of the 24-25 school year. As always please call or email us on Tuesday if you have any questions
Tuesday 5/27
Normal day for 6th & 7th grade
Skate City Field Trip for 8th. Please have them bring money if they wish to buy snacks and/or play arcade games. BV will be paying for admission and skating If they pre-purchased, will also be receiving their Yearbooks on Tuesday. We still have copies available if you want to send them in with $20.
Wednesday 5/28 – during the day
Normal day for 6th & 7th grade
Final Middle School Day for 8th Grade! Day will start with walking to JFK to practice walking into the Auditorium We will finish the day on our campus with fun in the sun including a inflatable obstacle course, tie-dying shirts and participating in a end of year mural project
BV will be paying for 2 tacos per student but they can bring additional money if they would like to order more food and or drinks from Lizebeth’s Taco Truck (see Menu at the bottom of this post)
Wednesday 5/28 – Continuation Ceremony
We hope to see many Yetis at John F Kennedy HS (2855 S. Lamar St) to honor our 8th graders transition to High School.
8th grade students must be dropped off no later than 5:30am at the Staff parking lot of Lamar to get lined up for our 6pm procession.
Everyone should park and enter in the Student lot which is off W. Brown Place. Doors will open at 5:30pm. Please DO NOT bring helium balloons as they are a restricted item inside the JFK Auditorium as they disrupt the fire detector system.
Thursday 5/29
No school for 8th grade, enjoy your summer!
Fun day for 6th and 7th grade as students have been earning eligibility to walk off campus to buy a snack or a lunch at one of the following locations: Starbucks, Gas Station, McDonalds, Eternal Bakery and Guiesppes Pizzeria. We will have our normal bell schedule from 8:50-3:50pm and will still offer a normal DPS Food Service lunchtime. If they pre-purchased, will also be receiving their Yearbooks on Tuesday. We still have copies available if you want to send them in with $20.
Friday 5/30
Early release at 1:00pm for 6th and 7th grade Fun day with inside game rotations, lunch and then finish with FIELD DAY!
