Dear Bear Valley International Community,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the wonderful support everyone has provided to our students and teachers so far this year. For those of you who were at BVIS last year, you know how hard our students and staff have been working this year to rebuild the school culture. Together, we’ve created an environment where everyone is succeeding.
It is with great sadness that I share with you my decision to leave the Bear Valley community just as we are starting to make great gains. I have accepted a district leadership position in a neighboring school district and my last day will be Friday November 11th, 2022.
I leave BVIS knowing it is in great hands under the leadership of our phenomenal assistant principals and all of the amazing teachers and support staff that make up our team. I am confident you all will continue to grow to ever greater heights under their leadership!
While I am saying goodbye I want to introduce Hillary Niebauer, Middle School Collaborative Director. Ms. Niebauer will reach out in the coming days to share the plan to hire a permanent replacement principal. She will begin the community involvement process for selecting a new school leader for Bear Valley in the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to your student’s Assistant Principal.
Finally, please take a moment to click on the below survey if you are interested in becoming a voting member of our Principal Advisory Committee (PAC), also known as a Collaborative School Committee. We will meet several times a year to discuss topics such as school budget, personnel, school goals and the unified improvement plan, and increasing enrollment. Most importantly this voting community will have an integral part in the new Principal hiring process that Hillary Niebauer will be sharing more details with you in the coming weeks.
