Dear Bear Valley Families:
Denver Public Schools Safety and Security Department requires schools to have two (2) lockdown drills per year. This letter is to let you know that we had a lockdown drill at our school this afternoon at 2:15 PM for approximately 13 minutes. Principal Sutherland went on the overhead prior to making the DPS Safety and Security announcement to make sure students knew to take it seriously but that it was just a drill.
Any students who did not take the drill seriously will receive a call home on Monday to ensure we continue to build the skills to be prepared true emergencies.
