Please review the important calendar dates listed below. Most importantly is the early release schedule for CMAS testing week (4/8-4/12) as we will be dismissing students at 2:00pm every day that week!

Math Night!

Join us Wednesday 4/3 from 5:00-6:00pm. Bring your entire family and take a journey from 5th all the way to 9th grade as we wrap our minds around the mathematics of money! Swag bags, prizes, food and drinks for all participants!

ELD PAC Meeting!

Please join us for our 2nd ELA PAC Meeting! (English Language Acquisition Parent Advisory Committee) An opportunity to support Bilingual students at BVIS ! 

During the meeting, you will learn valuable information to help your students. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and meet other families! Refreshments and Translation services will be provided

  • When:  Thursday April 4th, 2024
  • Time:   4:45 to 5:15
  • Where:  Room 117

Your attendance at this meeting will help support our efforts toward student achievement. We look forward to seeing you!

CMAS Testing 4/8-4/12!

The week of April 8th, ALL Colorado students will take end-of-year assessments called CMAS or Colorado Measures of Academic Success. Students in grades 6-8 will take English language arts and math tests. Students in 8th grade 8 and will also take science tests.

  • Every day week of 4/8-4/12 we will start at 8:50 and dismiss EARLY AT 2:00pm
    • Students who take the DPS yellow bus will be picked up at 2:00 as well
  • Please ensure you are not scheduling any appointments this week that would require students to be late or picked up early.
  • Any student who is absent will be pulled the following week to conduct make ups causing them to miss their regular instruction and possibly fall behind on their daily assignments.
  • We are looking for families to support us in a new snack initiative that would allow us to give kids a fresher/healthier snack in-between testing to help keep them positively charged. Please email Ms. Sarah if you are interested in volunteering and/or donating funds to support.

One Yeti One Roar (OYOR)!

We are thrilled to announce that our spring One Yeti One Roar culture building day will be Thursday 4/18. Our Student Council will be leading all planning so we know it is going to be a #yetitastic day!

No School Friday 4/19!

Friday 4/19 is a DPS District wide planning day, no school for students!
