Members of the Denver Public Schools Board of Education have unanimously declared their commitment to protecting the legal rights of all students, regardless of immigration status, national origin, religion or race, with the Safe and Welcoming School District resolution. In the resolution, the board states the following:

DPS will continue to work with city agencies and community organizations to support our scholars, families and staff to ensure our community’s constitutional rights are respected. As always, our focus remains on ensuring that our students receive the highest-quality education and that schools remain safe, welcoming, inclusive and supportive.
