Bear Valley Families,
I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new and current families as we initiate the start of the 2020-2021 school year. This start is not like any other year we have experienced and there are many unknowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which have caused the beginning of our year to shift. In addition, we have witnessed headlines regarding police violence towards Black people in our nation. All of this is very difficult for children to process and I want to ensure you that I am committed to supporting all our students.
During the entire summer, I have been meeting with a Return to School Committee made up of various school leaders, teachers and support staff to create plans that include safety and wellness, a commitment to providing a strong academic and social-emotional program, equity and innovation. We are committed to providing the best possible opportunities for all our students that are transferable in various models.
As our students return to school, we will focus on finding safe and creative ways to connect with our scholars and families. Our remote learning will be highly engaging and will feel more like a typical school day. Bear Valley will prioritize synchronous learning and our staff will work diligently with all our families to ensure that our scholars have the technology and tools to participate.

Me gustaría dar una cálida bienvenida a nuestras nuevas y actuales familias a medida que inicia el año escolar 2020-2021. Este comienzo es como ningún otro año que hayamos vivido y hay mucha incertidumbre debido a la pandemia del COVID-19, lo que ha provocado que el comienzo de nuestro año cambie. Además, hemos sido testigos de los titulares sobre la violencia policial hacia las personas afroamericanas en nuestra nación. Todo esto es muy difícil de procesar para los niños y quiero asegurarles que estoy comprometido a apoyar a todos nuestros estudiantes.
Me he reunido con un Comité de regreso a clases, que conforman varios líderes escolares, maestros y personal de apoyo, durante todo el verano para crear planes que incluyan la seguridad y el bienestar, un compromiso de brindar un sólido programa académico y socioemocional, equidad e innovación. Estamos comprometidos a brindar las mejores oportunidades posibles para todos nuestros estudiantes que se puedan transferir en varios modelos.
A medida que nuestros estudiantes regresan a clases, nos centraremos en encontrar formas seguras y creativas de conectarnos con nuestros estudiantes y familias. Nuestro aprendizaje a distancia será muy participativo y se sentirá más como un día escolar típico. Bear Valley dará prioridad al aprendizaje sincrónico y nuestro personal escolar trabajará diligentemente con todas nuestras familias para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes tengan la tecnología y las herramientas para participar.

Tôi muốn gửi lời chào đón nồng nhiệt đến các gia đình mới và hiện tại của chúng tôi khi chúng ta bắt đầu khai giảng năm học 2020-2021. Sự khởi đầu này không giống với bất kỳ năm học nào mà chúng ta đã từng trải qua và còn rất nhiều điều chưa biết do đại dịch COVID-19, khiến thời gian đầu năm học của chúng ta bị thay đổi. Ngoài ra, chúng ta cũng chứng kiến các tin tức liên quan đến vấn đề bạo lực của cảnh sát đối với người da đen ở quốc gia của chúng ta. Tất cả những việc này là điều rất khó khăn đối với trẻ em và tôi muốn bảo đảm với quý vị rằng tôi cam kết hỗ trợ tất cả các học sinh của chúng tôi.
Trong suốt mùa hè này, tôi đã gặp mặt với Ban phụ trách Trở lại Trường, gồm nhiều lãnh đạo trường học, giáo viên, nhân viên hỗ trợ nhằm thiết lập các kế hoạch bao gồm vấn đề an toàn và sức khỏe, sự cam kết cung cấp các chương trình học tập và giao tiếp xã hội-cảm xúc vững mạnh, sự bình đẳng và cách tân. Chúng tôi cam kết cung cấp các cơ hội tốt nhất có thể cho tất cả mọi học sinh, và có thể chuyển tiếp trong nhiều mô hình khác nhau.
Khi học sinh trở lại trường, chúng tôi sẽ chú trọng đến việc tìm ra các phương thức an toàn và sáng tạo để kết nối với các học sinh và gia đình. Chương trình học tập từ xa của chúng tôi sẽ rất thú vị và giống như một ngày học thông thường ở trường. Bear Valley sẽ ưu tiên chương trình học đồng bộ và đội ngũ nhân viên của chúng tôi sẽ làm việc chăm chỉ cùng với tất cả các gia đình để bảo đảm các học sinh của chúng tôi đều có các công cụ và công nghệ để tham gia.
