Week 15 & Interims

This email is a reminder that Interims are happening this week! We know our scholars are YETI READY to show us all of their learning.

On Wednesday, your scholar will be taking the Literacy Assessment. Following the assessment, teachers will review with students what they will be working on in the afternoon. Students will complete their Integrated Arts (elective) lesson asynchronously – this means they will NOT be logging into any google meets after lunch, but instead working independently. 

Thursday, your scholar will be taking the Math Assessment. After lunch, they will work on Science or Social Studies independently, again working asynchronously only after lunch. 

Key Details: 

• Students log in at their normal time with their normal teacher each day. 
• They will remain in a google meets classroom until lunch.
• Both days they will work independently (asynchronously) after lunch. Lessons will be in Schoology for this work time. 

To help your scholar succeed, please help them find a quiet place to work for an extended period on Wednesday and Thursday morning. They will also need scratch paper and a pencil/pen to help them during the assessments. And finally, a good night’s rest and waking up and eating breakfast is always a great way to start the day.
